Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 4, 2025
Last Updated: July 4, 2025
Welcome to 5 to 9 Club! 5 to 9 Club LLC (“5to9 Club,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect about you as a member or visitor, how we use and share that information, and your rights and choices regarding your data. We operate exclusively in the United States and our services are intended for U.S. residents 25 years of age or older. We do not knowingly offer services to or collect information from anyone under 25.
By using 5 to 9 Club’s websites, community platforms, events, or services (collectively, our “Services”), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Services. We may update this Policy from time to time (see “Changes to This Policy” below), and we will notify you of any material changes.
For any questions or requests regarding your personal data, you can reach us at support@5to9club.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information about you in order to provide our membership community and event services. The types of personal information we collect fall into a few categories:
Information You Provide to Us: When you interact with 5 to 9 Club, you may give us information directly. This includes:
Account and Membership Information: When you create an account or become a member, we collect details like your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any profile information you choose to add (such as a profile photo or bio on our Circle community platform).
Event Registration Information: If you register for an event or purchase a ticket (for example, through our Ticket Tailor ticketing page), we collect information such as your name, contact details, and any organization or title you provide, as well as payment information (see “Payment Information” below).
Payment Information: When you make a purchase (membership dues, event tickets, merchandise, etc.), our payment processor (e.g., Stripe) will collect your payment card details and billing information. We only receive a record of your payment (such as the last four digits of your card, payment amount, and status) but not your full credit card number.
Communications and Inquiries: If you contact us via email, contact form, or via our community platform, you may provide your name, email, and the content of your message. We collect that information and any other details you choose to share when reaching out (such as feedback or questions).
Survey or Feedback Information: Occasionally, we may run surveys or feedback forms to improve our services. If you participate, you might provide responses that include personal insights or preferences. We will collect whatever information you choose to provide in these contexts.
Information We Collect Automatically: Like many websites and online services, we collect some information automatically when you use our Services:
Usage and Device Data: When you visit our Squarespace website, log into the Circle community, or open our emails, we gather technical data such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device type, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and date/time of access. We also track certain activity data, e.g., what pages or content you view, clicks, and interactions with features. If you participate in an online event, we might log your join/leave time and basic usage stats.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) on our website and in emails. Cookies are small text files placed on your browser that help us recognize you on return visits, remember your preferences, and understand how you use our site. For example, we use cookies for login authentication, and analytics cookies to see which pages are popular. Web beacons (tracking pixels) in emails or on pages allow us to tell if you opened an email or visited a certain page. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that if you disable certain cookies, some features of our Services may not function properly.
Analytics Data: We use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to collect information about site usage. These tools may use cookies or device identifiers to generate aggregate statistics. This helps us improve the website design and content. The information collected is generally anonymized and does not directly identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser add-on if you prefer.
Information from Third-Party Integrations: 5 to 9 Club integrates with a few other platforms to run our community. For example, if you join our Circle community platform, Circle may share with us the information you used to sign up or your activity within the community (since we are the community host). Similarly, if we connect systems via Zapier (an automation tool) – for instance, to link our event sign-ups with our email newsletter – the information you provide in one service may be passed to another so that we can keep your records up-to-date. We only use these integrations to support the Services you sign up for. We do not purchase personal data from data brokers or unrelated third parties.
Sensitive Personal Information: We do not intentionally collect any sensitive personal information such as government IDs, social security numbers, financial account passwords, biometric identifiers, health information, or data about race, ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, or sexual orientation. Additionally, our Services are not directed to minors, and we do not collect information about anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us their data, please contact us and we will delete it.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes, all in support of providing and improving 5 to 9 Club’s offerings to you:
Providing Services and Membership Benefits: First and foremost, we use your information to create and manage your member account, to register you for events, and to allow you access to our community forums and content. For example, your email and password let you log into the Circle community; your name is used on event attendance lists; and contact details are used to deliver any digital products or updates you request.
Communicating with You: We use contact information (like email or phone number) to send you important notices. These include confirmations and receipts (when you sign up or make a purchase), reminders about events you registered for, updates about our club (such as newsletters, if you subscribed), and responses to your inquiries. If you contact us with a question or support issue, we will use your name and email/phone to address and resolve it. We may also send announcements about new events, services, or opportunities we believe are relevant to our members. Marketing Communications: We might occasionally send marketing emails or text messages about club happenings or promotions. You always have the choice to opt out of marketing emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email. For SMS, you can reply “STOP” to opt out. We will honor such opt-out requests promptly.
Community Engagement: Within our Circle platform, information you choose to post (e.g., in discussion threads or your profile) is used to foster community interaction. For instance, other members can see the profile information you share. We monitor community forums to ensure compliance with our community guidelines and to improve the member experience.
Processing Payments and Fulfillment: We use payment and order information to process transactions you’ve requested – for example, charging your credit card for membership dues or event tickets via our secure payment processor. We also use your provided information to fulfill any merchandise orders or send you event materials (for instance, emailing you a ticket or a post-event follow-up).
Personalization and Improvements: We may use your data to personalize your experience. For instance, we might recommend upcoming events near your location or topics in the community that match your interests. We also analyze usage data and feedback to improve our Services – figuring out what features are used most, diagnosing technical issues, and refining the user interface. This analysis is often done in aggregate form, but it may include reviewing some personal data to understand or debug an issue.
Advertising and Analytics Purposes: 5 to 9 Club may use third-party advertising platforms (like Facebook/Instagram Ads or Google Ads) to reach people who might be interested in our club or events. To make our advertising more relevant, we might use information about members for targeted advertising. For example, we could use a Facebook Pixel on our site that tells Facebook if you visited our event page, so that we can show you an ad for that event on Facebook. Or we might upload a list of member email addresses in a hashed (scrambled) format to a platform to create a “lookalike audience” of similar users for our ads. Importantly, we do not share sensitive personal data for advertising. We use these advertising tools to grow our community, but you have the right to opt out of this kind of data use (see “Your Privacy Rights & Choices” below). We also use analytics data (like Google Analytics) to understand the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns (e.g., seeing how many people visited our site after clicking an ad).
Legal and Security: In some cases, we may need to use your information to comply with legal obligations, such as keeping transaction records for tax and accounting purposes, or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities. We may also process data as needed to enforce our terms of service or community guidelines, to prevent fraud or misuse of our Services, and to ensure the security of our systems and members. For example, we might use IP address logs to detect multiple failed login attempts that could indicate a security threat. We will only use your personal information for the purposes above or for compatible purposes. If we need to use your information for a fundamentally different purpose, we will update this Privacy Policy and/or request your consent as required by law.
3. How We Share Information
We value your privacy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for profit, and we do not share your information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes. However, we do share certain information with trusted third parties in the following situations, as necessary to run our operations:
Service Providers and Partners: We share data with third-party companies that perform services on our behalf, commonly known as “service providers” or processors. These include:
Payment Processors: As noted, if you make payments, your information is handled by Stripe (or a similar processor) to complete the transaction.
Event Platforms: When you register for an event through Ticket Tailor (our ticketing platform), Ticket Tailor will collect your registration details on our behalf and provide them to us. They act as a service provider to manage ticket sales and check-ins.
Community Platform: Our member community discussions are hosted on Circle. If you join the community, Circle will process your profile and posts as our service provider. We have access to the data you share on Circle, and Circle may incidentally process certain data to maintain the platform.
Email/SMS Delivery: We may use email delivery services (for example, Mailchimp or SendGrid) to send out newsletters or announcements, and SMS gateways (like Twilio or similar) for text message updates. These providers get your contact info only as needed to send the communications.
Analytics and Advertising Vendors: We use tools like Google Analytics (for site metrics) and Facebook/Google advertising services. They may receive certain information through cookies or pixels on our site (as described in “Information Collected Automatically”). For instance, Google Analytics will receive your IP and activity on our site to provide us aggregated reports. Facebook may receive a hashed identifier or pixel data to help us with ad targeting. These companies are restricted from using personal data for any purpose other than providing us services or as required by law.
IT and Infrastructure: We employ various standard business software and hosting providers (for example, Squarespace hosts our website content, and we might use cloud storage or CRM software to organize member info). These providers may process data incidentally when we store it with them, but they are contractually bound to secure it and not to use it for their own purposes.
In all cases, we contractually require our service providers to protect your data and to only use it in service of the specific function we’ve hired them for. They are not allowed to sell or misuse your info.
Within 5 to 9 Club (Affiliates): Currently, 5 to 9 Club LLC does not have any subsidiaries or affiliated entities. If that ever changes (for example, if we form a related entity or a local chapter), we may share info within our corporate family as necessary to provide services. Any such affiliate would follow this same Privacy Policy.
Business Transfers: In the unlikely event that 5 to 9 Club considers a major business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information (including personal data) might be among the assets transferred to or reviewed by the parties involved. If such a transfer happens, we would require the new owner to continue to honor the terms of this Privacy Policy, and we would notify you (for example, via email or a prominent notice on our site) of any change in ownership or control of your personal information.
Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose personal information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal process (such as a subpoena, court order, or government request); Enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, or investigate potential violations thereof; Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues;
Protect the rights, property, or safety of 5 to 9 Club, our members, or the public, as required or permitted by law.
For example, if law enforcement provides a lawful demand for data in a criminal investigation, we may be obligated to provide the requested information. Or if a member’s behavior poses an imminent threat to others’ safety, we might alert appropriate authorities including relevant personal data.
Other than the cases above, we will not share your personal information without obtaining your consent. If we ever want or need to share your data in a way not covered by this Privacy Policy, we will seek your permission first.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
(Note: This section provides additional detail on our use of cookies and your choices, some of which has been mentioned earlier in “Information We Collect Automatically.”)
We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and to enable the features of our Services. Here’s more about how we use them and how you can control them:
Types of Cookies We Use:
Essential Cookies: These are necessary for our site to function properly. For example, when you log in to your member account, an essential cookie keeps you logged in as you navigate between pages. Without it, you’d have to log in again on every new page.
Analytics Cookies: These cookies collect information about how visitors use our website. They don’t personally identify you, but they provide us with aggregate data (like number of visitors, which pages are visited most often, what channels visitors came from). We primarily use Google Analytics for this purpose.
Functional Cookies: These remember your preferences to give you a smoother experience. For example, if our site has a feature to remember your username or your preferred language, a functional cookie does that.
Advertising Cookies: We (or our advertising partners) may set cookies that help deliver advertisements relevant to you. For instance, the Facebook Pixel or Google Ads cookies allow us to show you tailored ads on those platforms based on your interaction with our site. These cookies might track things like which pages or events you viewed, so we can later advertise those (or similar) to you on Facebook or Google.
Your Choices:
Browser Settings: You can control cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when new cookies are set. Please note that if you choose to disable cookies entirely, our website (especially login and member-only sections) may not work properly.
Do Not Track: “Do Not Track” (DNT) is a setting in most browsers that signals to websites that you don’t want to be tracked. Currently, there is no consistent industry standard for responding to DNT signals, so our site does not respond differently to browsers with DNT enabled. Instead, we rely on the specific opt-out mechanisms described below (like Global Privacy Control and opt-out links).
Global Privacy Control (GPC):We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. GPC is an optional browser setting or extension that broadcasts an opt-out preference. If your browser or device is set with an active GPC signal, our website will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale of personal data and sharing of data for targeted advertising purposes. In practical terms, when we detect a GPC signal from your device, we will not share your data for targeted advertising (as defined by applicable laws). We are continually improving our systems to fully support automated opt-out signals like GPC as they become legally recognized in various states.
Advertising Opt-Out: In addition to GPC, you can opt out of targeted advertising by us in a couple of ways:
You can use the opt-out tools provided by industry groups. For example, the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) offers a consumer choice page at aboutads.info/choices where you can opt out of interest-based ads from companies participating in the DAA program (which includes many advertising networks and marketers). Similarly, the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) offers an opt-out page at optout.networkadvertising.org.
Adjust your ad settings on platforms. For instance, you can control personalized ads in your Google account settings, or on Facebook (under Ad Preferences) you can manage whether you see targeted ads based on data from partners like us.
Contact us directly at support@5to9club.com with a request to opt out of targeted advertising, and we can manually ensure that your data is not used in our ad campaigns (for example, we can exclude your email from any “custom audiences” we upload to ad platforms).
Analytics Opt-Out: Google provides an Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on that you can install to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on any website you visit: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. If you use this, it will cover our site as well.
By using our site without disabling cookies or sending an opt-out signal, you consent to our use of cookies as described here. We do not currently serve third-party banner ads on our site, but if we ever do, we will update this section to reflect any tracking associated with such ads.
5. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain legal rights regarding your personal information. We also extend many of these core rights to all our members regardless of location, as part of our commitment to privacy. These rights may include:
Right to Know and Access: You have the right to request that we confirm whether we are processing your personal data, and to access the personal data we hold about you. Essentially, you can ask us for a copy of the information we have collected about you. This includes the categories of data, the sources from which we got it, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. We will provide this in a readable format, which in many cases will be an electronic report.
Right to Correct: If you believe that any personal information we have about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request that we correct or update it. For example, if you change your email address or notice that we recorded your name incorrectly, you can ask us to fix it. (Note: You can also make basic changes by logging into your account profile on our platform, if applicable, to update info like your contact details.)
Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data that we have collected from you. Upon request, we will delete your personal information from our records, and direct any service providers to do the same, subject to certain exceptions. Important: There are legal and operational reasons we might not delete absolutely all data – for instance, if we are required to keep certain transaction records for financial reporting, or if data is needed to exercise or defend legal claims, we may retain that specific data. But we will inform you of any such exceptions if they apply. Generally, if you stop being a member and request deletion, we will delete your account and personal details. Historical data (like posts you made in the community that are not personal data, or aggregated analytics) may remain, but they will no longer be linked to you.
Right to Opt Out of Sales or Sharing: You have the right to direct us not to sell your personal data to third parties. As noted, we do not sell personal information for money. We also interpret this right to include opting out of “sharing” your data for targeted advertising purposes. If you do not want us to use or share your information for targeted advertising, you can opt out. See the Cookies and Tracking section above for ways to opt out (Global Privacy Control, contacting us, etc.). Once you opt out, we will stop any data flows that constitute a sale or targeted advertising use of your data. If we ever consider selling data (highly unlikely for our business), we would first seek your explicit consent.
Right to Opt Out of Profiling: Some privacy laws grant the right to opt out of automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. 5 to 9 Club does not engage in any such profiling (we do not make any decisions about you that have legal or major effects based solely on automated algorithms). If that ever changes, we will update this policy and honor opt-outs for that activity as required.
Right to Data Portability: To the extent required by law, you may have the right to receive your personal information in a portable and (to the extent technically feasible) readily usable format that allows you to transmit the information to another entity. Practically, this is often covered by providing an access copy of your data (as with the Right to Access above). If you require it in a specific structured format, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these privacy rights. That means, if you submit a request or opt out of data practices, we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide you a lesser quality of service just because you exercised your rights. (In certain cases, if the service inherently requires some data, we might not be able to provide that service without it – for example, if you ask us to delete all your data, we won’t be able to offer member-only benefits to you. But we will inform you of such consequences and it’s your choice whether to proceed.)
These rights may vary depending on your state of residence. 5 to 9 Club’s policy is to honor these requests from all U.S. members to the extent possible, even if not strictly required by law for some states. This is both out of respect for our members and to maintain a consistent privacy standard.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Submission of Requests: If you wish to exercise any of the rights described above (access, correction, deletion, opt-out, etc.), you may contact us in any of the following ways:
Email: Send an email to support@5to9club.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request” and let us know what you would like to do (e.g., “Please send me a copy of my data” or “Please delete my information” or “Opt-out of targeted ads”).
Web Form: https://www.5to9club.com/contact
Mail: You can mail your request to: Privacy Team, 5 to 9 Club LLC, 9655 Perkins Rd Ste C-108, Baton Rouge, LA 70810. Please include your name, contact information, and a description of your request.
Verification: For your security, we will need to verify your identity before processing certain requests (especially for access, deletion, or correction of data). For example, if you have an account with us, we may ask you to send the request from the email associated with your account or to confirm some basic information we have on file (such as a recent event you attended). This is to ensure we don’t release or delete someone else’s information by mistake. If you do not have an account, we might ask for two or three pieces of info to match against our records. We will only use information provided in a request to verify and fulfill your request.
Authorized Agents: In some states, you may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf (for instance, an attorney or someone with legal authority). If you choose to do that, we will require proof that the person is authorized to act on your behalf. Typically, this could be a signed authorization letter from you, and we may still need you or the agent to verify identity directly with us. If you have a power of attorney, providing that documentation would suffice for verification of the agent’s authority.
Response Time: We aim to respond to privacy requests within 30 days. However, many state laws (like those in VA, TX, FL, etc.) allow us up to 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension if needed. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and let you know if we need any more info to process it. If we need more time (for example, if the request is complex), we will inform you of the extension and the reason.
Appeal Process: If for some reason we deny your request, or you are not satisfied with our response (for example, if you ask for deletion but we are only able to delete some data due to an exception), you have the right to appeal our decision. To do so, please send an email to support@5to9club.com with the subject “Appeal of Privacy Request” within a reasonable time (e.g., within 45 days of our decision). Provide the details of your original request and why you are contesting our decision. A higher level reviewer not involved in the initial response will re-evaluate your request and our response. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days of receipt (or the timeline required by your state law). If after the appeal you still have concerns, we will inform you if there is an option to contact your state’s attorney general or any other oversight body.
State-Specific Information: We strive to cover all rights in a unified way, but certain state laws require specific notices:
California Residents: While we do not do business in California, if you are a California resident who interacts with us, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. This includes the right to know categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose and the right to limit use of sensitive personal data. Again, we do not collect sensitive data nor sell/share data in the CPRA-defined manner, but if you have questions, feel free to contact us.
Nevada Residents: Nevada law allows consumers to opt out of the sale of covered information (as defined under NRS 603A) even if their data is not currently being sold. We reiterate that we do not sell data. If you still wish to formally opt out of any potential future sale, you can email us at support@5to9club.com with the subject “Nevada Do Not Sell Request.” We will make a note and ensure your data is not sold, and also inform you if our policy ever changes in a way that would affect you.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, etc.: If you are a resident of VA, CO, CT, UT (effective Dec 2023), or other states with privacy laws, this policy is intended to comply with those laws fully. You have the rights as listed above. Notably, Colorado and Connecticut residents can use universal opt-out signals like GPC which we honor (as stated), satisfying those states’ requirements for a user-friendly opt-out.
If you have any questions about your rights or how to exercise them, please contact us. We are here to help and want you to feel comfortable about how your data is handled.
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for business, legal, or reporting requirements.
In practice, this means:
If you are a member or have an active account, we will retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can update or correct your account details at any time. If you cancel your membership or your account is terminated, we will initiate deletion of your personal data associated with the account. We may keep a limited record that you were a member (e.g. name, membership period) for historical and audit purposes, but we will disable or anonymize the detailed profile information.
If you registered for an event or made a purchase without creating a full account, we will retain the information for that transaction (and perhaps keep a record of your attendance for our legitimate interests in analyzing event participation or if we need it for tax purposes). Typically, event registration info (name, contact) might be kept for a year or two for reference, unless you request deletion sooner.
Communications (emails you send us, support inquiries) are retained as long as needed to address your inquiry and for a short period afterward in case you have follow-up questions. We may keep correspondence for up to 2 years, unless you request it be deleted, in order to have context for any ongoing relationship.
Legal and backup retention: We periodically backup our databases for reliability. Backup copies are kept securely and are typically overwritten after a certain period. We also may retain information as needed to comply with legal obligations (for example, records of purchases for accounting must be retained for a number of years under financial laws). If deletion is requested, we will remove your data from active systems and then cycle it out of backups in the next rotation, except data we are required to keep.
Anonymized or Aggregated Data: We may convert some personal data into anonymous aggregated data for statistical purposes. For instance, we might keep statistics like “number of members in 2025” or “average event attendance.” This aggregated data will contain no personal identifiers and may be retained indefinitely since it no longer identifies any individual.
When we no longer have a legitimate need or legal obligation to retain your personal information, we will securely dispose of it. We use standard practices to delete or anonymize data (such as secure erasure and ensuring any third-party processors do the same). If deletion is not feasible (for example, if data was stored in long-term archives), we will ensure it is isolated from further use until deletion is possible.
7. Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. 5 to 9 Club implements a combination of administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
Encryption: Our website uses HTTPS encryption (TLS) to ensure that data transmitted between your browser and our site (such as login credentials or form entries) is encrypted in transit. Sensitive interactions like payments are handled via secure, PCI-compliant providers (e.g. Stripe) which use strong encryption and security protocols.
Access Controls: Internally, we limit access to personal data to those people who need it to perform their roles (for example, our small team and certain service providers). Access to administrative systems requires authentication, and we use best practices for passwords and credential management. For Circle and other platforms, user accounts are password-protected — please keep your credentials confidential and notify us if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
Third-Party Security: We select service providers who demonstrate good security practices. We have agreements in place requiring them to protect your information. For example, our community platform and payment processor both advertise adherence to industry security standards. We stay updated on their security measures and updates.
Monitoring and Testing: We periodically review our systems for potential vulnerabilities and attacks. While we are a small operation, we utilize the security features provided by our platform hosts (Squarespace, Circle, etc., which include built-in protections like firewalls, DDoS mitigation, and suspicious login detection). We also keep our software and plugins updated to patch any security issues.
Incident Response: In the event of any data breach or security incident affecting your personal information, we have a response plan. This would include notifying affected users and regulators as required by law, and taking immediate steps to mitigate the issue.
It’s important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can also help — please use a strong, unique password for your 5 to 9 Club account and notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized activity.
8. International Users
As stated, 5 to 9 Club is a U.S.-based service targeting U.S. residents. We do not actively market or provide services outside the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the U.S., be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. The data protection laws of the U.S. may differ from those in your country. By using our Services, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.
If you are in a jurisdiction (like the EU/EEA) that has data transfer restrictions, please note that we do not intend to collect data from such jurisdictions. Any provision of data to us is at your discretion, and we will apply the same privacy protections described here. Should our user base expand globally in the future, we will update our practices to ensure compliance with applicable international laws such as GDPR.
9. Links to Other Websites and Third-Party Content
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or incorporate third-party services and content. For example, we might link to our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram), or our website might include a map from Google Maps for event locations, or a YouTube video embed. Also, when you click external links posted in the Circle community by us or other members, you may be taken to sites we do not control.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external parties. If you go to another website from our Services, we encourage you to read that site’s privacy policy to understand how they handle your data.
Notably:
Circle Platform: Our community forum on Circle might have its own privacy notice (for the platform itself). However, since the community is run by us, the data you provide there is covered by our policy in terms of how we as organizers use it. Circle as a platform provider will also have commitments to protect your data.
Social Media: If you follow us or interact with us on social media (like Instagram or Facebook), those interactions are governed by the privacy policies of those platforms. We might collect some info from our pages there (for instance, if you message us on Facebook, we see your public profile info), but we’ll treat any such info in line with this Policy.
Payment Pages: When you are redirected to Stripe’s hosted payment page or Ticket Tailor’s pages for purchasing, those pages are operated by those entities. They may have privacy and security policies visible on those pages. We have agreements with them to ensure your data is protected, but you may also refer to their privacy policies for more details.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, incorporate new legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you by (for example) posting a prominent notice on our website or sending an email to members before the changes take effect. The “Effective Date” at the top will always indicate when the last changes were made.
Your continued use of our Services after a Privacy Policy update means you accept the revised Policy. However, if any changes are so substantial that we need to seek your consent (where required by law), we will do so.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
11. Contact Us
