Why:
To create a safe, joyful, and judgment-free space for women aged 25+ who have outgrown the traditional club scene but still want to dance, connect, and reclaim fun—on their terms. We need something besides gyms and nightclubs that is designed for women by women.
LAUNCHING October 2025: The 5 to 9 Club is a women-only club that includes an alcohol-free nightlife movement where hardworking women trade the 9-to-5 grind for a 5-to-9 shine. We’re here to hydrate, celebrate, and dominate tomorrow—with juicy beats, nostalgic vibes, and no pressure to drink. Founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by Alyssa Lundy, the club is designed for women 25+ who’ve outgrown the traditional club scene but still crave connection, movement, and unfiltered joy. Our motto: Work hard. Dance harder.
What to expect:
Each 5 to 9 Club event is a pop-up dance experience hosted on weeknights from 5:00–9:00 PM.
Events feature:
All-women crowd for a safe, pressure-free atmosphere, security in parking lots and outside building
Live DJ spinning 80s, 90s, and 2000s hits—from Whitney to Missy
Craft mocktails made for grown-up palates
Scream-singing anthems, collective joy, and positive affirmations each hour
Signature glow zones, photo ops, and zero creeps in a Miami Beach pastel 80s vibe environment
No alcohol, no judgment/stress—just movement, music, and community
A return to the freedom and sisterhood you felt at middle-school sleepovers—minus the braces
5 to 9 Club apparel squashes the “I have nothing to wear” excuse and the line is designed for “dopamine dressing” with over the top fun vibes and puts you into instant vacation mode.
Our members have access to our community chat area where women can support each other and talk about fun things, future events and their outfits; our members only VIP store has over 60 premium items, and they have access to our Spotify playlist with over 300 songs.
Members also get discounts on merch and tickets and get first access to tickets to events.
5 to 9 Club flips the script entirely. The early hours on a weekday mean women can sing along to Whitney Houston and still make it home for bedtime routines. The alcohol-free format eliminates pressure, poor decisions, and next-day regrets. The women-only policy removes the hypervigilance required in mixed spaces.
Women spend so much energy just trying to stay safe—clutching keys, texting our location, keeping drinks in sight,” Alyssa said. “Now add late nights, work life, mom life, and the cost of weekend childcare? It’s no wonder women stop going out.”
And for many, it’s been years. Alyssa, mom to an 18-year-old, 16-year-old, and toddler, admits she hadn’t “really danced” in over a five years. “When I asked around, it wasn’t just me. We’d all just… stopped.”
"It's about creating that feeling we had at middle school sleepovers—pure, unselfconscious joy," Alyssa said. "Where you can scream-sing New Kids on the Block without worrying who is watching. Where fun doesn't require a safety strategy."
The concept arrives as Americans dramatically shift their drinking habits. Nearly half (49%) of U.S. adults say they plan to drink less alcohol in 2025—a 44% jump since 2023, according to an NCSolutions consumer-sentiment survey. ncsolutions.com For women, health concerns drive the trend: each alcoholic drink per day raises breast-cancer risk by about 7%, according to a pooled analysis of 53 studies summarized by Susan G. Komen. komen.org. Our 5 to 9 Club also gives a safe, fun space for those battling alcoholism.
Each 5 to 9 Club pop-up transforms venues across Louisiana into temporary sanctuaries featuring beloved 1980s-2000s music, craft mocktails, and what Alyssa calls "instant sisterhood."
"We're not asking women to shrink their lives to fit inside unsafe boxes anymore," Alyssa declared. "We're building new spaces entirely. Spaces where a 38-year-old mom can dance without defending her right to be there. Where a 45-year-old executive can let loose without looking over her shoulder. Where being responsible doesn't mean giving up joy."
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 1 in 5 U.S. women (19.3%) have experienced rape or attempted rape in their lifetime—underscoring why many women 25+ abandon nightlife altogether. cdc.gov
"This isn't about hating men or hiding from the world," Alyssa clarified. "It's about deserving one space—just one—where we don't have to earn our safety, where the energy we usually spend on vigilance can go toward actually having fun. Where we can just... dance."
The inaugural 5 to 9 Club pop-up launches October 7, 2025, with monthly events planned throughout Louisiana. Women can join the growing community and secure priority ticket access at 5to9club.com.
"I want women to remember what it feels like to lose themselves in their favorite song again," Alyssa added. "To prove that the best nights can end with you in your own bed, makeup off, alarm set, and soul recharged."
